I'm the Deputy Director of the Center for Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder, and the author of Megafire: The Race to Extinguish a Deadly Epidemic of Flame and High Crimes: The Fate of Everest in an Age of Greed. I produce photojournalism, video and non-fiction reportage focused on environmental issues. I'm also a speaker and teacher on environmental, adventure, photography and writing, and the co-founder, along with my wife, Carolyn Moreau, of Narrative Light, a multimedia storytelling company that uses documentary video, still photography, and non-fiction writing to tell stories for editorial, corporate and non-profit clients. We live in Boulder, Colorado, with our magical cat, Otto.
